FOCS is an organic hats manufacturer producing certified headwear: GOTS organic cotton caps and bucket hats, custom knitted beanies in organic wool, and our signature GRS recycled fishing net brim caps. Headwear is one of the easiest categories to greenwash and one of the hardest to source certified — we hold the licences and issue the documents that make your 'organic hat' claim bulletproof.
Search for organic caps and you'll find thousands of listings, almost none with certification. The reason: hats blend many components — crown fabric, brim stiffener, eyelets, button, sweatband, adjustable closure — and a single non-certified component voids an organic claim. FOCS assembled a fully compliant component chain for our headwear program: certified fabrics, nickel-free and azo-free trims, and OEKO-TEX Class I testing on the finished article.
Our standout product line is recycled fishing net headwear: GRS-certified nylon regenerated from ocean-bound fishing nets, knitted into brim caps and matched with sunglasses in the same material. Beanies are our knit home turf: the same machines that make our certified socks produce rib-knit, cuffed and folded beanies in organic wool and organic cotton, with the wash-tested recovery and clean seams our sock clients expect. Custom embroidery and woven patches are done in-house so decoration doesn't break the certification chain.
