Many "GOTS suppliers" in China are trading companies that buy certified goods from someone else's licence. When you place an order with them, your traceability stops at the trader — and your own GOTS scope audit may reject the paperwork. When you buy from a factory that holds the licence, the certification body audits our mill directly, transaction certificates reference our production runs, and your chain of custody is airtight from organic farm to finished sock.
